✨ Poncho Project – Spanish 3 Honors ✨
Our Spanish 2H and 3H students recently completed a special project exploring the history and cultural significance of ponchos! 🧵🌎
First, they learned about the origins and traditions behind this iconic garment. Then, they had the opportunity to design and create their own ponchos at home, incorporating symbols and elements that represent what is important to them. 🎨🖌️
To wrap up the project, students presented their ponchos in class, explaining the meaning behind their designs. This project was a wonderful way to connect language learning with creativity and personal expression. It also gave students a chance to collaborate with their families in the process! 💛
Great job to all our students for their hard work and creativity! 👏👏👏

Update on this post - at this time we have 4 volunteers. It is a big event and we will need more help if we plan to host this annual event. Please reach out if you are willing to help organize. We will also need chaperones that night.
It's time to organize the after prom committee. We are searching for parents and community members interested in helping this year. This is a wonderful event that provides our students a safe place to go after prom. The planning committee is forming soon, and it takes several people to organize it. This is an event that was created by parents and community members and has continued to be organized by wonderful volunteers. Prom is April 26. Please contact Mrs. Shumaker if you are interested in getting involved. You can call the school or email. Email: lrshumak@k12.wv.us.
