The WV Dept. of Education is reporting continued issues with their program Livegrades. They are working on getting it operational as soon as possible. TCS will send updates as we get them. Thank you for your patience while we work through the issues.
New Members of National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) are reminded to check their emails (k12 or personal) to finalize their new member accounts. Please also check NTHS Teams for information and announcements. New Member one-time dues are $30 and can be paid by check, cash, or School Cash Online (scan the QR code). The brief online application and dues are to be paid and finalized by January 8. Please see Mrs. Ward in TC8 with any questions. You may also send an email to stward@k12.wv.us.
Save the Date, Friday afternoon, January 31, for the Induction Ceremony. Our NTHS Seniors will also be receiving their purple and white graduation cords. Parents will be invited to attend.

Our GHS Communities in Schools Coordinator, Jennifer Eskridge, organized the Polar Express Toy Drive. Students donated approximately 200 toys that will be donated to True Vine Ministries. Thank you to everyone that donated.

Your Bearcats wrestling team put together another strong performance on Day 1 of the McFly Outdoors Tournament. Today being pool play (team centered), your Bearcats finished in the top 6!
Braxton Rush led the way today going 5-0 in the 285 lbs. weight class while Landon Whetsell went 2-0 in the JV side of the 285 lbs. class. Maverick Bartsch, Noah Nestor, Nathaniel Bailey, and Gabe Young all went 4-1 while 144 pounder Issac Young went 3-2. Blake Eskridge, Jeven Poling, and Dylan Garrison all put up strong performances picking up key points for our Team Score. Your Bearcat’s will be back in action Saturday morning for Day 2 of the McFly Outdoors Tournament.

Bus Announcement: Bus # 80 will not run today, Friday , December 13th. Middle School and High School students who normally ride that bus will be transported home on Bus # 24 or #25.
GHS held our 4th Building Hope Event for freshmen today.
Building Hope is a project lead by Mark Urso and sponsored by his company, Bear Contracting. The program strives to support a positive school culture by teaching students empathy, understanding and compassion.
