GHS Presents Industry Day #3

We all know the last couple years have been difficult for our students (for everyone) and many activities were modified or cancelled. One of those activities was the parent organized After-Prom.
It would be fantastic to bring back this event and offer this junior and senior class the opportunity to attend after-prom.
Several years ago a group of parents started after-prom. While the committee changed some each year as students graduated, new parents would join, and the group would continue.
Each year they continued to offer students a wonderful, SAFE experience.
Unfortunately, it has been 3 years since we had one and there is currently no parent committee meeting.
If you volunteered on the committee before or are willing to now, please reach out to Mrs. Shumaker. After I have a list of volunteers, a meeting can be scheduled.
If you are willing to take the lead organizing or as a co-leader, please let me know that too.
Congratulations to our Young Writers Winners from Grafton High School.
For Grades 9 & 10 - Grier Taylor (Instructor Mr. Hanlin)
For Grades 11 & 12 - Jordan Niggemyer (Instructor Ms. Dalton)
Their essays will be submitted to the state for the next level of competition.

FBLA Week was celebrated last week.
Miss Urtso’s Human Anatomy and Physiology class worked with their lab groups to build a skeletal muscle model out of various supplies. Students had to label the parts of the muscle and write a summary explaining their model by connecting their knowledge of the parts of the muscle to the model they built.
Upon completion of this activity, students had a better understanding of the components of a skeletal muscle and were able to connect their learning to a physical object instead of a picture in a book.
