📚✨ Special Visitors in the GHS Library! ✨📚 Yesterday, GHS students had the opportunity to learn from WVU archivists and West Virginia Humanities Council personnel right in our library! Students explored a variety of historical resources— including Sanborn maps, city directories, and other archival materials — and discovered how these tools can support deeper, more meaningful research. A huge thank-you to our guests for sharing their expertise💛💙

Due to inclement weather, the Taylor Co. Board of Education meeting scheduled for this evening will now be held at the BOE Central Office location (71 Utt Drive) at 6:00 p.m.

📢 Attention GHS 9th Grade Students & Families!

We have only received about half of the permission forms for the upcoming Freshman Trip to the United Technical Center on Tuesday, December 2nd.

This trip is designed for the entire 9th grade, and it’s an important opportunity for students to explore the technical programs available throughout high school—programs that can support their future career goals after graduation.

To help accommodate the holiday break, we are extending the deadline to Monday, December 1st at 9:00 AM. Please be sure to sign and return the permission form by then.

GHS FBLA Members wrapped up an exciting Fall 2025 Leadership Conference! The two-day conference, held at Stonewall Resort, was jam packed! Conference highlights include a dynamic Keynote Speaker, a fun Chapter "Family Feud" competition, dancing, and s'mores outside around the fire! Students participated in a total of six informative workshops from SparkWV to important Financial Aid. Grafton's Alex Reneman, President of Mountain Leverage, was also on-site to share and inspire students on Thursday. Thank you to Mrs. Bolyard for advising a large chapter membership of 50+ students in grades 9-12. Thank you to Mickey Foley and Stacy Ward for chaperoning. Shout out to our students for professionally representing GHS! #fbla #wvfbla
