In art class with Mrs. McClure, students are learning about Native American art. Each class has been crafting suncatchers made with sticks, beads, and fishing line. This project involves knot tying, balancing the sticks, and allowing light to transform the pieces.

Scarecrows need to be taken down by Wednesday please.

Mark your calendars!

WTES staff and students want to express our gratitude to all veterans for your service! Happy Veteran's Day!

Miss Bise had the students work on cards and pictures for veterans this past week. Today, she delivered them to veterans at the VA, Beulahland, and Rosewood Nursing Homes, and to veterans present at the Taylor County Senior Center. Thank you to our students and Miss Bise for honoring our veterans!

Thank you, WTES PTO for the sweet treats today!

Thank you to our West Taylor families, after our count for the scarecrow votes we raised another $118.90 to go buy more food to put with the food we collected over the weekend. Your support is ALWAYS amazing!
The winner of our scarecrow voting goes to Disney’s Up.
The scarecrows all look wonderful we can’t wait to see what you can come up with next year!

Fun Tip for Families:
Set a positive example by establishing a daily routine of reading a story with your child. Children often take cues from the adults around them, and creating this routine may encourage your child to read independently. Never stop modeling the importance of developing literacy skills!
