Save The Dates - Important Information Meeting Scheduled! - - Please join us for an important informational meeting focusing on the building of a New Anna Jarvis Elementary School scheduled for Parents/Guardians and other interested community members on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. This important meeting will take place at the current Anna Jarvis Elementary School, located at 650 North Pike Street, Grafton, WV 26354. During this meeting, Dr. John E. Stallings, Jr., Superintendent of Schools, will provide background information regarding the process used toward obtain funding to support this endeavor as well as an overview of current and long-range building plans for bringing this exciting project to completion, including what to expect over the next few years of construction. Bus Announcement: Bus # 73 will not run today, Thursday , Jan. 4. Middle School and High School students who normally ride that bus will be transported home on Bus # 24 or #25. Flemington students from that bus will be transported by Bus #79.

Students: Please charge your iPad in preparation for the first day back to school tomorrow. The Tech Dept will soon begin the process of issuing new 10th generation iPads to students (starting with high school students). Please make sure you have completed an iCloud backup so you dont lose any important schoolwork that might not be saved to your OneDrive.

TCS Parents/Guardians, Due to a precautionary measure this afternoon at TCMS, dismissal procedures were handle differently than normal which may cause a delay in some of our bus schedules. Buses are running normal routes, but some may be a few minutes behind schedule. Thank you.

Parents/Guardians, As you may be aware, this Saturday, December 16, 2023, the National Cemetery will be sponsoring the annual "Wreaths Across America" event. This message is being provided to let you know that FREE SHUTTLE SERVICES to and from the National Cemetery are being made available for attendees by the Taylor County Board of Education Transportation Department to minimize traffic congestion. Please note: In order to eliminate traffic congestion, Veterans, ceremony dignitaries, and handicapped individuals, will be the only individuals allowed to drive onto the cemetery grounds. Therefore, anyone planning to attend the event who is not a Veteran, Handicapped, or serving in an official capacity is asked and encouraged to park at either the Grafton High School (Student Parking lot) or the Taylor County Middle School and take advantage of the shuttle service being offered. Shuttle Schedule: Prior to the start of the day's ceremony, shuttle service from both of the school locations will be offered from 10:30 - 11:45 a.m. Following the ceremony, shuttle service back to the schools will be available from 1:00- 2:00 p.m. Thanks, in advance, for your cooperation in taking advantage of this transportation shuttle service and helping minimize traffic concerns and difficulties. Please Save the Date! On Thursday, December 7, 2023, a new “Awareness Series” is being introduced. Our first of this Awareness Series will be focusing the dangers of “Sexting and Cyber Bullying”. All parents (and other interested adults) are invited to an evening session designed specifically for our parents/guardians scheduled for 6:00 p.m., on December 7th, in the Grafton High School Auditorium. Anna Jarvis Elementary School will be dismissing early due to plumbing issues. Buses will be missed at 12:45pm. Parent Pickup will be begin at 1:00pm.
