
Bus Announcement: Bus # 80 will not run today, Monday, Jan. 13th. Middle School and High School students who normally ride that bus will be transported home on Bus # 24 or #25.


Taylor County Schools Math Field Day will be held next Saturday, January 18th. Students chosen to participate will bring a letter home this week to their parents. -Julie Poling, Math Field Day Coordinator

Teachers and staff returned from the holiday break on January 3rd and participated in various professional learning sessions. Thank you to our staff and presenters for braving the snow to learn strategies, resources, and practices to enhance our students and schools.

Good afternoon. Tomorrow, Friday, January 10th, 2025, will be a Non-Traditional Instruction Day for all Taylor County Schools. This is NTI Day #2 for students. Students will learn from home and staff are to be available for support, from their assigned work site, from 10-3pm. Parents and Guardians are asked to review our NTID Family Plan video for more information on student expectations, available teacher supports, and meal availability for students. This video can be viewed on our Taylor County Schools website, YouTube channel, and social media page.

The WV Dept. of Education has updated that things appear to have stabilized with LiveGrades.

The WV Dept. of Education is reporting continued issues with their program Livegrades. They are working on getting it operational as soon as possible. TCS will send updates as we get them. Thank you for your patience while we work through the issues.

All Taylor County Schools will be on a two-hour delay today, Thursday, December 5, 2024.


Attention Flemington Elementary School parents, students & staff: Due to limited power issues, Flemington Elementary School ONLY will operate on a Non-traditional Instructional Day tomorrow, Wednesday, December 4th, 2024. Staff will report with normal work hours. FES students interested in receiving a school lunch, need to contact the school office by 10:00am. Lunches will need to be picked up at the school.


Due to loss of power, Flemington Elementary School will be dismissing at 12:30 pm. Buses will be running normal bus routes. The afterschool program is also canceled.


Taylor County Healthy Grandfamilies will be celebrating Christmas! If you're a grandparent currently raising your grandchild or grandchildren please reach out to Lisa Thorn at the contact information listed by 12/6 to participate!
