Technology
The Taylor County Director of Technology, with assistance from the Technology Team and representatives at each school, is involved in planning and supporting technology in our schools and offices, and 1:1 device deployment and maintenance. We continue to improve our infrastructure, technology, tools and support. All schools are connected to the internet through our Wide Area Network.
Before using the Internet, staff and students are required to sign the County Acceptable Use Policy Agreement.

Amy is the Director of Technology & WVEIS for Taylor County Schools. She holds a Masters Degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a specialization in Educational Technology Leadership, as well as a Certification in Administration. She also manages Website and Social Media Communications for the county. Amy was an Elementary Education Teacher in Taylor County for eleven years and seven years as the county Technology Integration & Deployment Specialist.
Melissa Carr

Melissa is the Technology Integration Specialist for Taylor County Schools. Melissa has a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education with certifications in Computer Science Discoveries and Intro to Computer Science. Melissa has a total of 19 years of teaching experience in Taylor County schools. She was a Career Exploration/STEM teacher and technology coordinator at TCMS before accepting her current position. Melissa's duties include: assistance with technology, integration/standards, STEAM activities, Microsoft Office 365, Apple devices and educational apps.
Doug Kirkpatrick

Doug is a Technology System Specialist for Taylor County Schools. Doug has his Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Digital Education. Doug has 7 years of teaching experience in Barbour and Taylor Counties. He was a computer applications teacher and technology coordinator at Taylor County Middle School before taking his current position. Doug's duties include LiveGrades, technology inventory, hardware/software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting, device setup, and general tech assistance.
Ed Currey

Ed is a Technology Systems Specialist for Taylor County Schools. He has worked for RESA 7 the last 21 years as an IT Supervisor/Router Specialist where his areas of responsibility were server and networking technologies as well as WVEIS. Ed's duties include technology hardware/software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting, and general technology assistance.
