What is Rooms?

Taylor County Schools (TCS) has implemented a new communication tool called "Rooms". This unified communication system is for parents and guardians to communicate with their student's teachers. Rooms is accessible through the Taylor County Schools app.

Why is TCS implementing Rooms?

The TCS App / ROOMS is a secure communication platform that complies with federal COPPA requirements.  This platform is chosen based on it’s ability to safeguard the privacy and security of students' personal information.

After listening to many parents/guardians on their concerns about having multiple apps to communicate with teachers, TCS looked into a new and easier way of communicating. Rooms eliminates the need for multiple apps like Remind, Heja, Band, and others like them.

The Taylor County Schools mobile app is the go-to place for district and school events, alerts, documents, and staff directories. Families can also access Rooms here to communicate with your child's teacher. This page is designed to provide you with resources to understand how to use it and troubleshoot problems that may arise.

How do I get signed up with Rooms as a Parent?

Rooms is a part of the TCS mobile app and is a secure communication portal for you and your child's teacher. To use this feature, please tap Rooms in the bottom right corner of the app. If you don't have an account yet, you can request a Guardian Invite from your child's teacher. You will receive a Magic Code and a Student ID that allows you to connect with your child's account.

I'm having a lot of difficulty logging into the app. I'm not sure what email address I used. What should I do?

Contact one of the people listed below and we can give you the email address connected to your name. If needed, we can give you another way to log into Rooms.

Can I communicate with my child's teacher using a browser? I would rather use a computer.

Sure! Families can log in to edurooms.com on a web browser.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

I get an error when trying to send a message. How can I fix this?

Remove the TCS app and reinstall it, then log back in. If you're using edurooms.com, clear your browser's cache, close the browser, then open it and try again.
