Mission and Goals

The Taylor County Board of Education Human Resources department provides services to the more than 300 employees as well as applicants aspiring to join our team.

The mission of the Taylor County Schools Department of Human Resources is to provide an effective personnel administration program for the school system. The primary function is to assist in the delivery of an effective and efficient educational program for all children. To that end, the staff of the Department of Human Resources is dedicated to the employment of quality personnel. The staff is committed to providing a strong support system for all employees that is predicated upon School Board policies and Personnel rules and regulations.

Goals:

  • Continue to provide excellence in service to address needs of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Continue to increase the efficiency and accuracy of processes and procedures in collaboration within relevant department.

  • Continue to enhance the process of recruitment and staffing of all positions on a timely basis.

  • Continue to recruit, retain, and ensure the success of a diverse and highly qualified workforce.

  • Continue to ensure that personnel files fulfill legal requirements.

  • Continue to review and revise/delete personnel policies, as appropriate.

  • Continue to foster relationships with all employees that are respectful and focused on recognition and honest feedback.
