Taylor County Schools Employees Kick Off New School Year
Gerry BrooksSuperintendent Christy Miller welcomed all Taylor County Schools employees for a Back-to-School kick off at Grafton High School on August 20th. The highlights of the employee day included an inspiring and humorous professional development by YouTube sensation Gerry Brooks.  Gerry is a Lexington, KY principal spreading humor in the world of education.  His message, while entertaining, was filled with inspiring advice of tolerance and respect toward colleagues and students.

The other high point of the day was lunch provided by Arch Coal Leer Complex.  Chuck Duckworth coordinated with Gaither Frazier, Head of Operations.  Michelle Mouser and Sheryl Perks, HR department, facilitated a box lunch for all county employees from Chick fil a.  It was a much appreciated send off before the employees returned to their buildings to begin preparations for the school year.
