*CAMP TOWLES CARETAKER*

The Taylor County Board of Education is accepting applications for caretaker of Camp Towles until Monday, February 13th at 12:00pm EST.  Anyone interested in applying for the position must do so by submitting a letter of application and a resume addressed to Drew M. Rottgen, Treasurer, at 71 Utt Dr. Grafton, WV 26354.  All applications must be received by the deadline.  A copy of the contract can be viewed here.



*CLERK OF THE WORKS*

The Taylor County Board of Education is accepting applications for clerk of the works for the Taylor Co Middle School HVAC replacement project until Wednesday, February 22th at 12:00pm EST.  Anyone interested in applying for the position must do so by submitting a letter of application and a resume addressed to Drew M. Rottgen, Treasurer, at 71 Utt Dr. Grafton, WV 26354.  All applications must be received by the deadline.  A copy of the contract can be viewed here.



The Board has been awarded a Needs grant from the WV School Building Authority (SBA) in the amount of $1,373,655 to replace the heating system at Taylor County Middle School.  The Board formally accepted the grant award at its regular meeting on January 10, 2017.



The Board will hold its annual budget hearing at 5:00pm on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, to discuss the proposed operating budget for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2017.  Interested citizens may review a copy of the proposed budget on the "Budget" page.



The Levy Order and Rate Sheet for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2017, is now available for review on the "Budget" page.  The levy rates were adopted by the Taylor County Board of Education on April 19, 2016, at the statutory levy rates meeting on the third Tuesday in April.



The independent auditor's report and annual financial statements for the year ended June 30, 2015, is now available.



Employees:  PEIA Open Enrollment is scheduled to begin April 2, 2016, and end on May 15, 2016.  Premium rates have not been set as of March 24, 2016, and may not be available until the WV Legislature passes a budget bill for the 2017 fiscal year.
